Can anybody give me some recommendations for darker/more oxidized oolongs to try? Most Ti Kwan Yin, Ali Shan and Dong Ding oolongs are too green for me, I like darker oolongs!

Hi On Board,
How are you I am Jenny from USA.I have a new thing for you please do try this for once Organic Rou Kuei Oolong from aura Tea is a wonderful and unusual tea. It is a darker oolong with pretty long red leaves. The dry leaves emit a nice woodsy scent, foreshadowing a nice tea liquor. The brewed tea has a rich flavor that tastes almost like it has been roasted, like mesquite coated in molasses. Thanks... Packing supplies ~Nice packaging with nice people~ |

Hi
I would first recommend you to try oriental beauty oolong tea. I believe it is the darkest oolong and the best part is oriental beauty is always organic because of the way the tea is produced. You can also try tikuanyin tea and dongding oolong tea as well, just ask your tea vendor for higher degree of roasting. Alishan oolong is a high mountain oolong tea. normally high mountain oolong tea is consumed as unroasted or light-roasted to preserve its natural flavor and fragrance. Ray Lee www.ishopo.com |

Hi chithanh119,
I guess you like the thick, strong taste of Oolong tea. I try some dark-roasted Wuyi rock tea, or some old Tie guan Yin, they are super good. you can try them. In the past, i buy teas from E-bay, now i buy a lot from some direct China on line tea shop. If you like, you can try this china shop. jkteashop |
